Bloody Mary-esque?
With the approach of a few brunch weddings we decided it was time to create a signature Bloody Mary to add to our menu. As usual we started with an R&D day (research and development). The result was a plethora of delicious savory breakfast cocktails. We created a “base” that we used with an assortment of different vodkas, and a couple of tequilas.
One break from tradition was using Dales liquid steak seasoning instead of the more common Worcestershire sauce. However, you can use your favorite steak seasoning if the two above don’t tickle your fancy. What really sets this mix apart from the traditional Bloody Mary is the added organic carrot juice and honey ginger white balsamic vinegar. These sweet and tangy components compliment the savory, umami flavors of the steak seasoning with the tomatoes and garlic. It will literally make your mouth water!
Take shaker, squeeze in 1 wedge of lime and 1 wedge of lemon and drop them into the shaker, pour in 1/2 teaspoon of honey ginger vinegar, 1 teaspoon of Dales, add 1 teaspoon chopped fresh garlic
Muddle the above ingredients
Pour in 1.5oz organic carrot juice
Pour in 1.5oz of Zing Zang
At this point we put in 2oz liquor depending on what drink we are making… if you want to make just a regular Bloody Mary you can put in plain vodka
Take Highball glass and rim with the salt that corresponds with the drink we are making but regular salt works fine
Put ice in glass and dump contents from shaker into glass
This mixture is so delicious it can be used as a mocktail! Just add an extra ounce of both Zing Zang and carrot juice. We will be posting the recipes on our social media and creating a new section on the website. So keep an eye out for the variety of delicious Bloody Mary’s coming to you soon!
